Large sand carved mandala based on the symmetry of the number five. The center of the mandala stretches out across the surface of the marble and gradually transforms and terminates at another opposing mandala pattern. The entire surface is frosted and buffed with mineral oil. In between the components that make up the marble is a steel fused decorative element. The channels between the individual pieces are filled with a steel layer that creates a black outline of the mandala.
