Sand carved mandala marble with a black core and a green glow. The core of the piece is made with deeply encase black center with thick layers of multiple shades of UV reactive glass and the swirled together in a spiral pattern. The thick layers of transparent glass gives the black and interesting depth. The surface of the piece is sandblasted to create a low relief etched pattern. On this one a choose to leafy the dots unfrosted and frosted the mandala pattern
A four sided mandala pattern radiates out and wraps around the piece is two directions. The mandala is bordered by a series of small dots. I love the way the UV interacts with the frosted glass and the depth of the etching. This piece has a blue yellow dominant glow with some pink accents. I included photos with 365nm and 395nm UV light. This is a series of two pieces one purple and one black and green. This piece is slightly smaller by about 2mm
